Job Title: Client Services Team Leader
Tell us about what your job entails:
My job role is varied but ultimately it is to lead the Client Services team, which currently has 6 members. I manage my team’s workload and allocate work to be completed appropriately. I also ensure processes within our back-office system are implemented, updated and reviewed on a regular basis. We hold weekly Client Services’ team meetings to ensure everyone is aware of any new implementations or processes. Alongside this I also lead training of new team members. An important part of being in the Client Services team is that we are on the “front line” of the business, ensuring our clients’ enquiries are dealt with efficiently and with care.
What do you like about being a Client Services Team Leader:
My role is predominately about helping people, which I really enjoy. Our work is fairly fast paced, and we have strict timelines and sometimes they overlap, so I help my team with their individual workload where needed ensuring that one person doesn’t get overloaded. I also enjoy being able to help with any queries, whether that’s from my team, the advisers or our clients.
What is great about living and working in Cornwall:
I love being so close to the sea and the outdoors, so being able to get out either in the countryside or go to the beach to walk my dog is important to me. One of the main draws of working in Cornwall is that my commute is relatively short, depending on traffic, which most of the time in Cornwall isn’t a lot! There is also the opportunity to finish work and be at the beach within minutes.
Tell us something about yourself:
I’m married and have an 18-month-old daughter and a 2 year old dog, who definitely keep myself and my husband on our toes! We all love to be outdoors as much as we can; walking, playing or going to the beach. I work part-time at the moment which enables me to spend time with my daughter, taking her to local attractions and swimming, so that she is confident in the sea, which children in Cornwall are so lucky to be near down here.
